Terms of Service
The terms and conditions that govern your use of AlertHamster.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the AlertHamster platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
AlertHamster is an incident management and on-call alerting platform that:
- Receives alerts from monitoring systems via webhook integrations
- Converts alerts into incidents and routes them to configured services and teams
- Applies escalation policies and on-call schedules to determine responders
- Sends notifications through multiple channels (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Email, SMS, Discord)
- Tracks incident lifecycle from trigger to resolution with full audit trails
- Provides analytics and reporting on incident response metrics
3. Accounts & Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use AlertHamster, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 Tenant & Organization
Each account belongs to a tenant (organization). The account owner or admin is responsible for managing users, permissions, and configurations within their tenant. AlertHamster maintains strict data isolation between tenants.
3.3 Account Security
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account. AlertHamster is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account credentials.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
4.1 Plans
AlertHamster offers the following plans:
- Professional ($19/user/month): Unlimited users and incidents, full feature access
- Enterprise (Custom pricing): All Professional features plus SSO, on-premise deployment, custom SLAs, and dedicated support
4.2 Billing
Professional plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Annual billing receives a discount. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.
4.3 Free Trial
Professional plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue using the Service.
4.4 Plan Changes
You may upgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you will be billed the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other tenants' data or the Service's infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or other restrictions of your plan
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond API usage
6. Your Data
6.1 Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to data you submit to AlertHamster ("Your Data"). This includes incident data, team configurations, schedules, escalation policies, and any other content you create within the Service.
6.2 License Grant
By using the Service, you grant AlertHamster a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit Your Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete Your Data or close your account.
6.3 Data Portability
You may export Your Data at any time through the AlertHamster API. Upon account termination, we will make Your Data available for export for 30 days before permanent deletion.
6.4 Data Processing
We process Your Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For Enterprise customers, we offer Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to meet regulatory requirements.
7. Integrations & Third-Party Services
AlertHamster integrates with third-party monitoring and notification services. When you configure integrations:
- You are responsible for managing API keys and credentials for third-party services
- Data sent to third-party notification channels (Slack, Teams, etc.) is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies
- AlertHamster is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services
- Webhook data received from your monitoring tools is processed according to your configuration
8. Service Level & Availability
8.1 Uptime
AlertHamster targets 99.9% uptime for Professional plans and 99.99% uptime for Enterprise plans (with SLA). Uptime excludes scheduled maintenance windows, which we will announce at least 48 hours in advance.
8.2 Support
- Professional: Priority email support (response within 4 business hours)
- Enterprise: 24/7 phone and email support, dedicated account manager
8.3 Maintenance
We may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily limits Service availability. We will provide reasonable advance notice of scheduled maintenance.
9. Intellectual Property
AlertHamster and its associated logos, designs, interfaces, and documentation are the intellectual property of AlertHamster. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.
The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- AlertHamster is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- We are not liable for the actions or failures of third-party services integrated with AlertHamster
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AlertHamster, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any data or content you submit to the Service
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You may close your account at any time through the Service settings or by contacting support. Upon termination, your subscription will not renew, and your data will be available for export for 30 days.
12.2 By AlertHamster
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice before termination, except in cases of serious violations or legal requirements.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections regarding data ownership, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AlertHamster is incorporated. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AlertHamster regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
- Force Majeure: AlertHamster is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, wars, government actions, or infrastructure failures.
